Third Eye Blind is one of the few bands I can listen to while I paint. My creative process has become such a brainless activity, it's completely intuitive. And I need something that I can tune into and tune out at the same time. Because I've gone through my adolescence with them as my soundtrack, I've become intimately familiar with each song. It's almost womb-like. Just putting them on sends me somewhere safe where I can create.
Stephan's lyrics are so imagery rich... I could spend months on one line, painting out every image that comes to mind.
I may just need to break out the paint tonight after writing this!
I guess what I'm saying is that I'm grateful. Their creativity fuels mine, just in a completely different medium.

I had a friend that I dated a while back that really loved 3eb and loved painting to them. I really wanted to see her paintings and guess what 3eb song she listened to while painting but I never saw any of them. :P
"Their creativity fuels mine" I totally agree! I go months at a time with out picking up a paint brush. The moment I feel inspired to paint Im usually putting on their music during set up.
