ok so my best friend wants me to make her a 3EB cd since i go on and on about them....and i can only put so many songs on their because of the space on the cd and it's so hard picking the best ones!! theres wayyy too many!!
You could pick 4 songs from each record and then put 4 more unreleased songs (like "Scattered") on the Cd...When I burn people 3EB mixes, I try to stick to stuff that they wouldn't have heard on the radio. Either way, the holy trinity from the ST ("The Background," "Motorcycle Drive By," and "God of Wine") has to go on there!! Good luck!!
ya i'm trying to put the true 3eb songs that she wouldn't normally here...ur right definately motorcycle drive by and god of wine, two of my personal favorites. i don't know if she's gonna appreciate it since she's one of those who's all about the beat instead of lyrics...even though i think those are awesome musically! but we'll see...sometimes i think they need an accquired taste. i can't wait to see what she says!!
haha well those are all great choices but i can only pick 17 songs...it's kinda wah wah but if she likes it i'll make her another cd. that's what i'm hoping for!
I recently ran into the same situation, and here is what i put... (with somewhat of an album flow)
1. Losing a whole year
2. wounded
3. bonfire
4. deep inside of you
5. Monotov's private opera
6. Faster
7. Red Star
8. Summer Town
9. Camouflage
10. Forget myself
11. Misfits
12. How's it going to be
13. Crystal baller
14. My hit and run
15. My time in exile (piano version)
16. I want you
17. The background
18. God of wine
19. Darkness
ya those are really good ones...but i didn't put any from ursa on it. here's what i have:
wounded
10 days late
never let you go
deep inside of you
slow motion blinded
forget myself
crystal baller
narcolepsy
semi-charmed life
jumper
graduate
how's it going to be
i want you
the background
motorcycle drive by
god of wine
i ended up putting more of the widely known songs even though i didn't want to....i should've just picked them at random! lol you can't go wrong with any of them! i think this will be a slow transition into 3EB though
There's too much good stuff to do just one CD, in my opinion you should just trick your friend! Make one CD with all the songs you know she'll like, singles, uptempo songs, you know the catchy stuff, then once she's hooked, make her another one, with the hardcore stuff, after all is said and done, she'll thank you for it :P
haha i agree! and i think that's what i did, with the exception of god of wine and motorcycle drive by and a few others, i'm not sure she'll fully appreciate them yet, but i'm gonna tell her to go into it with an open mind....if i know her she'll just say dude this is wierd but i'm soooo hoping she'll love it like i do!
you are trying the impossible! but if i were gonna make a list i would definitely add these...
losing a whole year, motorcycle drive by, in the backround, thanks a lot, wounded, deep inside of you, 10 days late, 1000 julys, Faster, Blinded, Forget Myself, Crystal Baller, Don't Believe a Word, Bonfire, Sharp Knife, Summer Town, non dairy creamer
yeah- VERY difficult to do. 3eb had a "contest" to come up with a setlist for the most recent tour including 18 songs or something and it seriously took me a ton of time. Unfortunately apparently nobody actually won the contest since nothing ever came of it :-/
