Eyes like the sea
As if some drug spilled from my mouth
you inhaled every memory that we made,
and tried to stop time
to trap us alone in that moment forever
Then with no effort of our own
the world began to fade away,
and the hours felt like seconds
I watched your eyes as they melted into mine
It was like the sea fading into the blue horizon
And I was lost for words
In an instant that seemed too serene to be true
your golden hair draped over my face,
I followed the contour of your lips
and like a rolling wave they swept me away
the moment that seemed to last for years
ended with a kiss that was never meant to be
and I was trapped with you, miles from the shore
starring at the blue horizon
waiting for a sunset that I hoped would never come

The last two stanzas are my favorite, especially:
I followed the contour of your lips
and like a rolling wave they swept me away
word, good job man
